Is everything on the site free?

Most of it, yes. All 622+ tutorials on YouTube are completely free. The tools, templates, cheatbook, and PNG resources are free with no sign-up. The only paid items are in the Shop — the Canva course ($25), and a couple of premium design templates starting from $4.99.

Do I need a paid Canva subscription to use your tutorials?

No. Most tutorials are designed to work with Canva Free. Some advanced features like certain premium elements or brand kits are Canva Pro only — Benjamin always mentions this in the video when it comes up.

How do I get the free templates?

Go to the Resources page and click 'Grab the Templates'. This takes you to the African Geek Canva profile where 100+ templates are publicly available. Click any template and it opens directly in your Canva account — no sign-up or payment needed.

Can I use the templates for commercial work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once a Canva template is copied to your account, you can edit and use it for commercial projects — client work, social media for a business, print, digital — as long as you comply with Canva's own content licence.

Visit the Resources page or the Events page and click 'Join the Community'. The community is hosted on NAS.io — there's a free membership tier that gives you access to the space, plus paid options for exclusive content, live sessions, and direct access to Benjamin.

Are the design tools really free? No sign-up?

Yes — all 11 tools on the Tools page are completely free and need no account. Open them, use them, close them. Your data never leaves your browser (the tools don't store anything on a server).

Can I use the Freelance Contract Generator for real client projects?

Accepted Answer

You can use it as a starting point, yes. It generates a plain-language contract covering payment terms, revisions, IP ownership, and kill fees. However, it is not legal advice. Laws differ by country. For high-value projects, have a lawyer in your jurisdiction review it.
